Building materials

Copper is used as a building material in a range of areas, for example in water pipes, heating, gas, and in sprinkler systems. The metal combats bacteria as well as certain organisms and guarantees good water quality. Copper is clean and hygienic, tolerates heat and cold, gas, fuel, and corrosive environments. Copper plate has long been appreciated as a roofing material with a long lifespan. It’s easy to process and weld together, as well as being resistant to outside influences. As a building material, copper is recycled to a very large extent without losing any of its good qualities. This makes it a very suitable material for a circular economy.
