Senior executives

Anna Tyni was born 1972 and she is a mechanical engineer from Luleå University of Technology. She has 20 years of experience in various leading positions within LKAB in Kiruna, including Operations Manager Leveäniemi (LKAB Berg & Betong), Production Manager Operations KA1/KA2 (LKABs Anrikningsverk 1 and 2) and Production Manager Crushing/Construction (LKAB Berg & Betong). Prior joining Copperstone, Anna worked at BDX Företagen in Kiruna as marketing area manager and business manager for the Mining division. As a worker and resident in Kiruna, she has great local knowledge and commitment to the community.

Anders Lundkvist is born 1960 and is a very experience mining environmental specialist, and former Director of Environment and Energy at Swedish Mining association (SveMin), as well as former Environmental manager and Manager of Energy and Climate at LKAB; Sweden’s largest mining company. In these positions, Anders has had extensive experience of issues related to environmental permitting, land use issues, contract with stakeholders’ rehabilitation of mine sites, ecological compensation, energy and climate related issues. As he lives and works in Kiruna, he has great local knowledge and commitment to the community.

Michael Mattsson, from Haparanda, Norrbotten, holds a MSc from Stockholm School of Economics. Mattsson has substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A), IPO, Rights- issues and Fund management from Enskilda Securities, Blackstone (New York) and Kaupthing.

Marcello Imaña, has worked for 28 years within global exploration and development projects of copper, gold and zinc, with a strong focus on the Andean and Nordic regions. He has held leading technical roles in successful exploration teams within Lundin Mining, Inmet Mining and First Quantum Minerals and most recently as a senior technical advisor for Agnico Eagle in Sweden and Freeport MacMoran in Peru. Marcello has a degree from the Geological Engineering Program at San Marcos National University in Peru, with post graduate studies in the economic geology fields of Turku University in Finland and the Division of Geosciences and Applied Geophysics from Luleå University of Technology in Sweden.

Markus Petäjäniemi was born in 1959 and has over 15 years of experience from various management positions within LKAB and was a member of the group management of LKAB until March 2021. His most recent managerial role within LKAB was as Senior Vice President Market & Technology and was thus responsible for sales and marketing of LKAB iron ore products and R&D, with a focus on development and innovation to create LKABS ‘future sustainable energy and production systems. He has also been chairman of the board of LKAB Malmtrafik AB and LKAB Norge AS, both owned 100% by LKAB and a board member of Hybrit Development AB and MEFOR.

Jane Lundgren Ericsson (Master of Laws from Stockholm University and Master of Laws from University of London) has more than 20 years of experience from the financial and capital markets, and from leading positions within Swedish Export Credit Corporation (SEK), e g as a former Head of SEK’s customer and lending operations and a Member of the Executive Management. Jane is a Member of the Board of Directors in SBAB Bank since 2013 and a Member of the Board of Directors of AB Sveriges Säkerställda Obligationer (publ), CEO at Visma Finance AB, a Member of the Board of Directors at Miskatonic Ventures Aktiebolag and a Member of the Board of Director at Ineytt AB.

Lars also has experience from a number of board assignments and is currently a board member of, among others, Handelsbanken Fonder AB. In recent years, he has also been involved in founding a number of companies in various industries, where he currently acts as an advisor in financing and corporate affairs.

Greg Hall is presently the CEO and Executive Director of Alligator Energy Ltd, an Australian mineral exploration company. He has over 30 years in mine management, global commodity marketing, and CEO and Board roles with resource companies. This includes groups such as WMC, Rio Tinto, Toro Energy and Hillgrove Resources. His experience includes three copper mines, and a period working with LKAB at Malmberget, Sweden. Greg has a BE in Mining Engineering from the University of South Australia.
