Mining Engineer Ian Holman has been recruited as a consultant to be the responsible Study Manager for the Viscaria Copper Project. In addition, geologist Diane Feve has been employed to the Viscaria office in Kiruna.
”Our recruitment of the Study Manager is a very important milestone towards a re-opening of the Viscaria mine. Ian Holman has all the relevant experience that Copperstone and Viscaria require in order to initiate the Feasibility studies and formalise the Environmental permit application. The initial focus will be to create an Execution plan regarding the Viscaria Scoping Study, including an updated time table and prioritisations for the various sub segments.”, comments CEO Michael Mattsson.
The main responsibility regarding Land access and Permits will remain at the CEO and Copperstone Board. Ian Holman will be reporting to the CEO and within specific technical areas to the Technical committee, as defined by the Copperstone Board.

About Ian Holman
Holman has more than 40 years of experience from the global mining industry. Specialised in Mining Engineering and Project Developments. Most recently, Holman concluded a technical advisory role for the World Bank in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) gold mining operations, in which the DRC government has a financial interest. Holman was Pre-Feasibility Study Manager within Design/Construction Management for Rio Tinto operations in Serbia. In addition, Holman has experience from mining in Australia, France, Uzbekistan, Zambia, South Africa, Ghana and Botswana.
