The Supreme Administrative Court rules in favour of Copperstone and Sandberget 500

Danderyd November 20, 2019

The Mining Inspector’s award of exploration permit Sandberget 500, Arvidsjaur municipality, to Copperstone stands, as The Supreme Administrative Court in Stockholm (Högsta Förvaltningsdomstolen) on November 19, 2019 rejected an appeal regarding the permit.

All exploration permits with regard to the Copperstone project (Sandberget 200, 300, 400 and 500) are valid up and until year 2022.

“We are naturally happy with the decision and appreciate the swift handling of the case” comments Michael Mattsson, CEO Copperstone. "At the moment we are performing an investigation of the Copperstone project in Arvidsjaur, together with our main owner Sunstone, regarding the potential for new geophysical and geological targets. At the same time, we are advancing our drill campaign at Viscaria outside Kiruna. Early this morning our contractor Kati Oy moved the drill rig to VDD0207, after having extended the VDD0206 with a good 100 metres, to 829 metres, thanks to visual chalcopyrite / chalcopyrite veins in ironstone at, what appears to be, two longer intersections. VDD0207 is aiming at copper and iron mineralisation between VDD0195 and VDD0205.”
